Guilmon is a virus-type Digimon. Though his attitude and kindness most of the time could lead to thinking that he was a data or even a vaccine-type. His virus typing could possibly explain his first mega form, Megidramon. Guilmon's fighting style (he gets angrier, and his pupils shrink, when he smells a wild Digimon) shows his virus nature, as he fights with much more zeal and ferocity than Agumon or other Digimon protagonists, as his partner, Takato Matsuki, intended on when he came up with Guilmon.
Guilmon is a curious and naive digimon, the youngest of the partner Digimon, and also has a strong love for bread. He was created from Takato's drawings of Guilmon, and brought to life by the mysterious Blue Card. At first, Guilmon had not been aware of the differences between humans and Digimon, calling his partner Tamer "Takatomon".
Though he doesn't look it, Guilmon is normally playful and friendly, proving to be quite popular with Takato's classmates for being a real live Digimon. Despite being portrayed as childlike, Guilmon occasionally shows deep insight. For example, when Takato didn't want Guilmon to digivolve, in fear that Guilmon would no longer be the same, Guilmon pointed out that Takato has changed over time as well, but he is still the same person.
Guilmon gets along very well with Terriermon and Calumon, but his first meeting with Renamon was as enemies. Guilmon later acknowledges Renamon's knack for "being right" in combat situations. Guilmon would either ignore Impmon or try to play with him.
Unlike other seasons, Guilmon is not the first Digimon to digivolve into the Champion level (Adult level in Japan), even though he belongs to the lead character. Terriermon digivolved first, and Renamon shortly after Guilmon was the last to digivolve in A Question of Trust.
At first, Guilmon wasn't very good at listening to Takato, always breaking out of his cage, and fighting Renamon when Takato told him not to. Guilmon admired Takato's determination, and has since obeyed Takato's every word.
Guilmon appears to be relatively small when standing in his normal bent-over bird-like stance. But when standing up-right, he is actually the size of an adult human. Guilmon is a red dragon-like Reptile Digimon with yellow eyes, wing-like ears, a long and strong tail, and carries the black Digital Hazard symbol on his chest. Guilmon is muscular, yet a little slender with big legs, perfect for fast running. On each of his large hands, Guilmon has paws and three fingers with long claws; and on each foot, he has two clawed toes and a claw coming out from the heel. One very indistinct feature of Guilmon is the stripes and triangle patterns on certain parts of his body. On its snout is a black, inverted version of the Zero Unit.
Guilmon's chest is emblazoned with the Digital Hazard symbol; the symbol did not appear on the original sketch of Guilmon that Takato used to create him, but did show up on other pages.
Guilmon is extremely powerful for a Rookie. Guilmon is able to defeat Champion level digimon like IceDevimon despite Renamon having trouble as both her Rookie self and Kyubimon. Guilmon is literally thick-skinned and thickheaded, giving him substantial protection from enemy attacks, and making his headbutts deadly.
Guilmon also displays various abilities that the other Digimon don't: when he digivolves to WarGrowlmon he seems to be able to share Takato's strength to fight and a couple of times he and Takato have been able to communicate with each other through dreams. He also created a "road" of energy to escape a Digital Zone he was trapped in and during the battle with Beelzemon after de-digivolving from Megidramon, he was able to summon Megidramon's tail to knock Beelzemon's bullets away. How he was able to do these things is never explained.
In the Japanese version, Guilmon has a habit of speaking in third person. This includes referring to others by their name rather than "you" and referring to himself in third-person tone. He mostly seems to alternate between this and the use of pronouns throughout the series, although he typically only does this as Guilmon and Growlmon. He also stops his "Takatomon" habit much earlier in this version, only referring to him as such in a single scene in episode two, rather than continuing until episode 4, though he continues doing it a little bit throughout the rest of the English version.
- Pyro Sphere (Fireball) : Guilmon spits a concentrated blast of fire from his mouth.
- Rock Breaker : Guilmon hits his opponent with a huge amount of force, almost like he is throwing a rock at his opponent.
Jyarimon is Guilmon's Fresh form. While in Ryo Akiyama's party, Guilmon will degenerate to Jyarimon when his YP depletes.
- Awa (泡? lit. "Bubbles"): Fires bubbles from its mouth.
Gigimon is Guilmon's In-Training form.Gigimon appeared when Guilmon De-Digivolved to Gigimon after the D-Reaper was defeated and was forced to return to the Digital World. Gigimon is Guilmon's In-Training Digivolution in Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer, digivolving to him as his YP recovers from degenerating to Jyarimon. His default attack is "Hot Bite".
- Hot Bite : Snaps at the opponent, burning the things he bites.
Growlmon is the Digivolved form of Guilmon. Guilmon first digivolved to Growlmon during his fight against Devidramon. In this new form, Growlmon fought a fierce battle against the dark dragon and ultimately destroyed him with his Pyro Blaster attack. He is also ticklish.
Afterwards, Growlmon discovered that he wasn't able to regress. Takato tried various methods to make Growlmon use up his "surplus" energy, but failed. Growlmon eventually did De-Digivolve naturally after observing a rainbow with Takato. After a few more times of digivolution, Guilmon does learn how to de-digivolve. In Grow Mon Grow, Growlmon fights the Deva Mihiramon, but fails until Takato uses a Blue Card to Matrix Digivolve him to WarGrowlmon. He later battles Sandiramon and Sindarumon and destroys them both with help from the others. He appears to battle the other Devas, but his attacks prove pretty much useless against them. When Locomon attacks, he tries and fails to stop the rampaging Digimon.
- Pyro Blaster (Exhaust Flame) : Growlmon shoots a powerful fire ball from his mouth.
- Dragon Slash (Plasma Blade) : Growlmon charges the blades on his arms with energy and slashes his enemies.
WarGrowlmon is Guilmon's Ultimate form. WarGrowlmon first appeared when Mihiramon of the Devas appeared. Since Mihiramon was much stronger than other Digimon, Takato had to use a Blue Card. Slashing this card allowed Growlmon to Digivolve into WarGrowlmon, who was then able to defeat Mihiramon. Growlmon later digivolved again to defeat the Devas Indramon and Vikaralamon in the real world and to fight both Beelzemon and Zhuqiaomon in the Digital World. WarGrowlmon also fought against the D-Reaper when the tamers returned from the digital world, due to their temporary inability to bio-merge.
The first few times Growlmon Digivolved into WarGrowlmon, he and Takato were linked mentally. Takato declared the "Atomic Blaster" attack at the same time his Digimon was about to use the attack. Takato even made some of the same movements that WarGrowlmon did.
- Atomic Blaster : Fires a strong energy beam from the two cannons on his chest.
- Radiation Blade (Double Edge) : He powers up the blades on his arms and fires them at the enemy.
- Trinity Burst : In this combined attack with Taomon and Rapidmon, WarGrowlmon turns into a crystal-like form, then a beam of energy, and then he combines with the other two (also in the form of energy beams at this point) into an energy arrow that resembles a crane.
Megidramon is a Mega Digimon whose name comes from the word "Megiddo", the place where the final battle between good and evil will take place according to the book of Revelation in the Bible.
Megidramon is Guilmon's alternate Mega form when the full destructive power of the Digital Hazard is released, and as a result, his existence endangered the very fabric of the digital world. Megidramon possesses acidic saliva, with The Hazard shown as the Digital Hazard symbol on its chest flashing red. The central triangle was permanently red, but the three triangles around also flashed red. Once this started, Henry realized that the symbol was a hazard and the ground under the groups feet started to crack and massive fissures were formed. Terriermon fell into one of these fissures while fighting Beelzemon. He was then saved by Renamon. Guilmon turned into Megidramon once when he Digivolved using Takato's anger. The death of Leomon at the hands of Beelzemon caused Takato to fill with blood lust. Jeri finally snapped him back to his senses and he became horrified by Guilmon's transformation, which also destroyed his D-Arc (D-Power in the English Dub).
At first, Megidramon seemed to have the upper hand against Beelzemon and attempted to devour him. However, Beelzemon eventually won the battle by absorbing Makuramon's data along with Terriermon and Renamon's Ultimate data, beating Megidramon unconscious. Takato cried, knelt down by the unconscious Megidramon and wished that he and Guilmon could start over. But as soon as Takato realized that he couldn't give up the old Guilmon, Megidramon quickly changed back into Guilmon. When Beelzemon tried to shoot them, Guilmon instinctually summoned a phantom version of Megidramon's tail to knock the bullets away. Takato then wished that he and Guilmon could fight Beelzemon together as it should be. This resulted in him Biomerging with Guilmon to become Gallantmon. After the battle, Takato then received a new D-Arc, an Ultimate (Golden) D-Arc. Takato was the only one in the season to get a Golden D-Arc.
- Megiddo Flame : Megidramon exhales a vicious maelstrom of purgatorial flames.
- Hell Howling : Megidramon howls while facing the enemy; the shock of the sound itself is critical to most weaker Digimon.
Gallantmon is the true Mega form of Guilmon. Gallantmon was the first Biomerged Digimon to appear. Gallantmon first appeared when Takato Biomerged with Guilmon in order to fight Beelzemon. In this new form, Gallantmon was able to defeat Beelzemon. He also destroyed Caturamon during the battle, but it was Beelzemon who absorbed his data. Gallantmon's power proved a major asset in the battle against the D-Reaper. Gallantmon played a key role in confronting the D-Reaper and in obtaining the ARMS "Grani" as his mode of transportation. In the English version he often speaks with a merged voice between Guilmon and Takato, representing that he is a fused dual entity of the two both physically and mentally and often retains the childish mentality of Guilmon in part. Whereas in the Japanese, he speaks with a single voice (Takato can speak separately, though) and is much more 'mature' in mindset, speaks in a refined manner, often referring to himself by saying "I, Dukemon" and Takato even refers to him internally as Dukemon (however he does refer to him internally as Guilmon just before they split apart from being Gallantmon Crimson Mode). He can even be hotblooded in battle, particularly when he defeats Beelzemon.
- Lightning Joust (Royal Saber) : Gallantmon shoots out energy at the opponent from his Gram Lance.
- Shield of the Just (Final Elysium) : Gallantmon fires an energy beam from his Aegis Shield.
- Dragon Driver : A joint attack with Grani—the two drive themselves right into their opponent.
- Yuggoth Blaster : A joint attack with Grani—a blue tri-bolo energy attack that shoots from Grani's mouth.
Gallantmon Crimson Mode
Gallantmon Crimson Mode is the mode form of Gallantmon. Gallantmon Crimson Mode appeared towards the end of Digimon Tamers. Gallantmon had found himself overwhelmed in his battle against the D-Reaper. In his time of need, Grani gave the last of his power to Gallantmon triggering a mode change. In his newly digivolved form, Gallantmon gained wings and newly mended crimson armor, wielding a sword “Blutgang” in one hand and spear “Gungnir” in the other. While in mode form, the Digital Hazard within Gallantmon's Digicore is fully sealed, enabling Gallantmon to unveil his full potential. With this newfound power, Gallantmon Crimson Mode was unable to defeat the D-Reaper's Agent-01. Agent-01 destroys his weapons after he easily destroys many other agents and knocks him into the Mother Reaper causing him to start to delete. Gallantmon Crimson Mode pulls himself together, flies out and punches his fist through Agent-01 destroying it. He goes on to attempt to rescue Jeri and Calumon but due to an error in the Red Card's effects due to Shibumi not taking into account the Digimon/Human hybrid he de-digivolves back into Takato and Guilmon before he can succeed.During the final battle with the Parasimon, Gallantmon and his allies are outnumbered and being overwhelmed. Takato's determination to win causes Gallantmon to tap into the power that Grani gave him and Mode Change into Crimson Mode. Gallantmon Crimson Mode is able to easily destroy all the Parasimon in one shot with his Crimson Light attack ending the invasion and saving the Earth. This is Guilmon's most powerful form and likely the most powerful Digimon in Digimon Tamers.
- Crimson Light (Quo Vadis) : Gallantmon Crimson Mode shatters the bonds between this world and next, casting his enemies into oblivion.
- Final Justice (Final Elysian) : He obliterates his adversaries with the full might of his gungnir.
- Invincible Sword (Royal Saber) : Attacks with the full might of his sword Blutgang, the sword glows and releases a huge slash.
Digimon Tamers (Anime)

Wishing for help, the tamers find that if they wish to protect others they can matrix digivolve.
The pig deva keeps ploughing through the city and it has to be evacuated. Takato's parents are very concerned because they can't find him but have to evacuate as well. At the same time a shining light finds Impmon in the underground tunnel where he's been sulking and offers Impmon power and knowledge to digivolve. The Monkey Deva throws a ball into the Juggernaut tunnel and destroys the program. The pig deva recovers as do Rapidmon and Taomon. Henry's dad and friends reach Takato and the others and tell them about the monkey deva. Takato decides to not be afraid anymore and shows Rika and Henry that if they fight alongside their partners then they can be even stronger. Takato's determination causes WarGrowlmon to gain more strength and after the others deal with Vikarlamon's attacks, WarGrowlmon destroys him with a point-blank Atomic Blaster. Unfortunately, right after, the Monkey Deva, Makuramon, kidnaps Calumon and declares he is taking him back to the Digital World. Jeri gets Leomon to speak to her father about the whole thing and Kazu and Kenta decide to join them in order to find their own Digimon partners. The kids, after getting detention, write essays for Ms. Asaji about what they're doing believing she won't read them for a while, but she reads them right away and confronts them. The kids convince her to leave them to do what they have to do, but she is incredibly worried about them. The next day as they prepare to leave, the group is confronted by Yamaki, but instead of trying to stop them he gives them a comlink to stay in touch as he is now on their side. Afterwards the group heads through the portal to the Digital World.
Once the gang enters the digital world Rika spots "satellite" hoping Calamon would be there so they walk along trying to find Calumon but it turns out that the satellite Rika saw were Rock. Just then Meramon attacks and the gang gets separated into two groups: Takato, Guilmon, Henry, Terriermon, Jeri and Leomon in one group and Rika, Renamon, Kazu and Kenta in the other. Meanwhile, Calumon and Makuramon also get separated.
Kazu and Kenta stray into the house of a Jijimon and a Babamon along with Rika and Renamon and they dream of becoming Tamers.
Takato and the others end up at a Chuchidarumon village while being attacked by a motorcycle with no rider. During this time, Impmon, now in the digital world as well, meets a Deva who says can help him digivolve. It turns out the motorcycle named Behemoth is possessing a Metalkoromon. Guilmon manages to push it off but in the act gets possessed. In the end Behemoth falls into a pool of lava but emerges once again with the newly evolved Beelzemon as its rider.
The second group falls into a strange dimension full of clocks. After being attacked by a Megadramon, the group meets Ryo, the legendary tamer who once beat Rika in a tournament.
Everyone meets and Ryo is introduced to the other group. Meanwhile Rika, hurt and angry, goes elsewhere with Renamon following along. The group eventually gets an idea of where Calumon might be but runs into Makuramon and the dragon deva, Majiramon. Cyberdramon destroys Majiramon and Ryo then leaves the group.
The group returns to the desert to try to find Rika. Rika nearly drowns but is unexpectedly saved by Calumon. A flood pushes them and Renamon to the desert and Calumon digivolves Renamon to Kyubimon to save them. They reunite with the others, but before they can return home, they get confronted by Beelzemon who Kyuubimon realizes is the Digivolved Impmon. Kyubimon digivolves to Taomon to face him, but unfortunately the Dog Deva, Chatsuramon, shows up and recaptures Calumon. Unfortunately, while Yamaki is on leave, the government starts up the Juggernaut, causing sudden night and storms in the Digital World. Thanks to Chatsuramon's attack, Henry, Takato and Terriermon get sucked into a data stream while the others are protected by a shield from Taomon and Beelzemon runs off. At Hypnos as the Juggernaut gets out of control, one of the agents calls Yamaki and Riley and they manage to shut it down.
The group meets an Andromon who is trying to defeat an Orochimon in order to free his Gekomon slaves. Andromon after losing too much energy de-digivolves to Guardromon and Orochimon kidnaps Jeri to have her serve milkshakes to him forever. Kazu befriends Guardromon and saves him by having the Gekomon use milkshakes to heal him and the two come up with a rescue plan. The group manages to reach Orochimon without trouble, but he's too strong for Guilmon, Renamon, Leomon and Guardromon. Thanks to some encouragement from Rika, Jeri does her first ever Digi-Modify and as a result Leomon is able to destroy Orochimon. Thanks to his new friendship with Guardromon, Kazu becomes a Tamer with Guardromon as his Digimon partner, shocking everyone.
Takato, Henry, and Terriermon are told the secret of Guilmon's birth.
Henry's younger sister, Suzie Wong, arrives in the Digital World and quickly meets Antylamon, the rabbit deva Digimon. As the two become friends Henry, Takato and Terriermon track her down. Makarumon attacks Suzie, but Antylamon fights him off to protect her new friend as Henry, Takato and Terriermon finally arrive. As a result of their new friendship, Suzie becomes Antylamon's Tamer which shocks the others as Suzie is now the Tamer to a Deva. As punishment for her actions, the Digimon Sovereign de-digivolves her back into Lopmon, her Rookie form.
As the gang meet up again they are quickly attacked by Beelzemon. However after Beelzemon kills Leomon, Takato goes into a rage and forces Guilmon to Digivolve to his Mega Form – but something goes wrong.
With the unfortunate help of dark digivolution Guilmon digivolves into Megidramon. Megidramon battles Beelzemon and almost has him killed but Makuramon comes to confront Beelzemon on how useless his digivolution was. Beelzemon kills Makuramon and breaks free. He kicks Megidramon at his weak point, the chest. Megidramon dedigivolves back to Guilmon. Takato goes through deep sorrow and reaffirms his friendship with his Digimon. After making a wish that he could fight, Takato and Guilmon Biomerge to become Gallantmon.
Gallantmon faces Beelzemon in a tough one-on-one battle. During the battle, Gallantmon destroys Behemoth and rescues Kazu and Kenta which causes them to realize that Takato has merged with Guilmon. Meanwhile, the Sovereign sends his last Deva Chatsuramon to destroy Lopmon for being a traitor. Chatsuramon goes to kill Suzie and Lopmon, but Terriermon takes the hit, saving them and mortally injuring him. Before Chatsuramon can do more, Gallantmon destroys him, taking out the last Deva, but Beelzemon absorbs his data which makes him stronger. Beelzemon beats down Gallantmon and is about to kill him, but Guardromon and Kazu intervene and buy Gallantmon enough time to recover. Beelzemon's attacks do no damage to him after that and he runs out of ammo. Once that's done, Gallantmon blasts Beelzemon with his Shield of the Just, finally defeating him. Gallantmon goes to kill him, but Jeri stops him as it won't bring Leomon back. Beelzemon remembers his own Tamers and leaves regretting his actions.
The crew meet Zhuqiaomon the Digimon Sovereign. WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon face him but are no match for him and Rapidmon's injuries from Chatsuramon leave him weakened and he is indicated to be slowly deleting throughout the episode as he flickers several times. Lopmon tries to help convince Zhuqiaomon to stop but fails and is nearly destroyed by him but WarGrowlmon protects her. Her cries summon Suzie (who was supposed to be watched by Guardromon but he misunderstood Kazu's orders). Rapidmon is defeated and reverts to a severely weakened Terriermon. Henry's determination causes him and Terriermon to BioMerge to MegaGargomon which heals Terriermon's injuries. MegaGargomon defeats and apparently destroys Zhuqiaomon along with his castle and everyone celebrates outside. Unfortunately, Zhuqiamon is revealed to have survived and comes back for revenge.
After the De-Digivolution of MegaGargomon the tamers came to know that Zhuqiaomon is still alive and still wants to fight. Zhuqiaomon tries to convince Lopmon to turn to his side. When Lopmon refuses to do so, he attacks the tamers. Taomon protects them until Zhuqiaomon is stopped by another Sovereign, Azulongmon. Zhuqiaomon battles him and Guilmon and Terriermon join in to no effect and are nearly destroyed. Takato jumps out of Taomon's shield to help and Guilmon and Takato Digivolve to Gallantmon to fight. Azulongmon lets the battle go on a bit to make a point of how strong Bio-Merged warriors are but ultimately stops the battle and manages to convince Zhuqaiomon that this fight is useless and they should all fight against the real enemy: D-Reaper.
Sakuyamon was formed when Rika bio-merged with Renamon while they took a leap of faith to save Calumon from the D-Reaper. Rika fell back into Renamon and there was a blinding flash of blue light. The two Bio-Merge into Sakuyamon and drive back the chaos, rescuing Calumon, but the D-Reaper quickly recovers.
Calumon helps every digimon in the digital world to Digivolve to Mega so that they could fight their real enemy the D-Reaper. Meanwhile, Kenta meets a MarineAngemon who grows attached to him, but he sends to battle. Azulongmon sends the Tamers to the desert world to return home and while Zhuqiamon is still disgusted by the Tamers Digimons choice, he decides to respect that and allow them to go with the Tamers.
Yamaki was in contact with the tamers so when he came to know that tamers wanted to come back he called the team who at first made the digimons and asked them to build a transportation type digimon that can take the kids out of there. They called it the Arc. It was not a complete digimon but was made from the core of a digimon. Rika with Renamon went to save Impmon on the behalf of Renamon the timing of Arc was fixed so Ryo and Cyberdramon went to get Rika and Renamon. On the other hand Arc left on its time and Guilmon asked the Arc to stop as his Tamer and other friends were not there yet. They all reached there at time as the Arc has stopped but due to this reason Arc lost its way to the real world Takato talks to Arc and request it to take them to real world Arc under stands and reply him by his communication device and take them to the real world. On the way, Kenta's Digimon friend MarineAngemon pops out of his pocket (its indicated the Digi-Nomes put him there) along with a Digivice. MarineAngemon is now an amazed Kenta's partner. Jeri was acting strange but every one thought it as she is sad. Impmon was ashamed for what he had done to Leomon; he fainted when he was rescued.
The Tamers returned to the real world. Takato finds out that Jeri’s parents are not coming to get her. He takes the responsibility to return her to her home. On the way to her home, Jeri keeps on acting weird. Takato tries to admit his real feelings for her, but she doesn't even respond to that. Takato left Jeri to her parents and Calumon went with her. Jeri’s father was very angry with her. On the way back Takato heard the news about the D-Reaper which was sighted in the real world. Takato, Henry and Rika decide to return to stop it and sneak off to do so, meeting up in a tunnel that leads to Shinjuku Park.
Takato, Rika and Henry reunited to fight against the D-Reaper but they failed to defeat it as they realized that they can not Biomerge to Mega form in this world as they are not data in this world. Impmon meets his friends Ai and Mako. They treated him nicely. When Impmon saw the Tamers on TV fighting the D-Reaper, he decides to help them even though he's not sure he can Digivolve again. Ai gives him a kiss and Mako gives him a toy gun and he heads off to help. Impmon's determination to help causes him to digivolve to Beelzemon again... and Mako's toy gun causes him to digivolve further into Beelzemon Blast Mode with the toy gun as his new weapon. Beelzemon turns the tide of the battle, weakening the D-Reaper's Agent allowing WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon to destroy it. Afterwards the Tamers and their Digimon joke around with Beelzemon who is at first annoyed, but joins in when he figures out they're just joking around. Takato sees Jeri mysteriously nearby.
A mysterious girl arrives with a Digimon Dobermon. They were sent by Azulongmon to make the Tamers able to Biomerge to Mega level. They came to know that Dobermon is a gift and he sacrifices him to make them Biomerge digivolve. They were told that the major part of D-Reaper is in the real world and it's up to them to stop this.
During the fight, Gallantmon fell into the D-Reaper and de-Digivolved. Here he met Jeri, but in actual she was a part of D-Reaper. She changed into a D-Reaper digimon called the Agent. Lopmon requested Suzie to help her digivolve so that she could help her friends she digivolves to Antylamon. Calumon senses Jeri in trouble and enlists Impmon's help to rescue her. Impmon, still feeling guilty about killing Leomon, joins him. Calumon knew that Jeri is inside the Kernel Sphere. The Kernel Sphere was the power core of the D-Reaper.
Ryo and Cyberdromon Biomerge digivolved to Justimon to help them. While MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon go to rescue Takato and Guilmon, Justimon and Guardromon battle another D-Reaper Agent. In the Chaos mass, Kenta and MarineAngemon rescue Takato from the Jeri Agent and they're taken out of there by MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon. Meanwhile, Calumon and Impmon head off to rescue Jeri but are intecepted by more agents. Impmon digivolves to Beelzemon Blast Mode and easily defeats them and he and Calumon reach the Kernel Sphere where they find Jeri. Beelzemon manages to get Calumon into the Kernel Sphere where he joins Jeri, but Beelzemon is captured by the D-Reaper. At the battle with the Agent, Justimon is no match for it even with Guardromon's help and is nearly killed, but Guardromon saves him (something which Kazu is excited about as Justimon thanks him). MegaGargomon and Sakuyamon rejoin the battle, but even their help isn't enough even though they figure out the Agent's weakness. Justimon is nearly killed again but is saved by the sudden arrival of Antylamon who holds the Agent in place, allowing Justimon to finally destroy it. Later, Lopmon apologizes as she witnessed what happened to Beelzemon and Calumon but couldn't stop it so she came to help them instead. As a reward for her help, Ryo gives Suzie a Modify Card to use herself.
Calumon found Jeri in the kernel of the D-reaper. She opened her eyes but didn't respond to Calumon. Meanwhile Takato tried to convince Mr. Katou (Jeri's father) to stop being angry at her. Yamaki was designing a more complex version of the D-Arc which he called "Grani" after a famous warhorse, which he planned to become a steed for Gallantmon. Jeri had flashbacks of when her mother died and began to mutter, frightening Calumon. When a new Agent arrives, Mr. Katou goes to it and pleads for Jeri's release, but is nearly killed. Justimon and Guardromon manage to destroy it, but another bigger Agent arrives. Grani finally arrives and Gallantmon uses it as his steed and rides it up to the Agent and destroys it.
Grani is fully developed. Calumon tries to help awake Jeri. Meanwhile, Beelzemon, released by the D-Reaper, tries to break open the kernel sphere in which Jeri is with no results. He's joined by Gallantmon who manages to use Grani's Yugooth Blaster to destroy the Agent guarding it. Kazu and Kenta are nearly killed, but are saved by Antylamon. During the battle, the adults learn the truth of the Bio-Merging and are shocked. The shots of the kids inside the Digimon is somehow broadcast on live TV and Ms. Asaji leads Takato's entire class in cheering him on once she sees this. Finally Beelzemon manages to break through to Jeri by using Leomon's Fist of the Beast King attack (its indicated with the help of Leomon's spirit) and Jeri finally wakes up, but grows depressed when she realizes its Beelzemon and not Leomon coming to save her. She eventually tries to reach Beelzemon, but its too late and the Kernel Sphere closes up again and Beelzemon is struck down by the D-Reaper and falls towards the Chaos Mass.
Jeri tries to get out of the kernel sphere in which she is trapped. The Global Task Force launches special missiles supposed to disrupt the D-Reaper’s internal communication but they are deleted as the D-Reaper evolves into Mother D-Reaper due to Jeri’s strong negative emotions. Grani rescues Impmon, but he's seriously wounded by D-Reaper's attack. D-Reaper's evolution forces the Tamers to retreat. Rika and Takato are picked up by their families while Henry stays in the office with his father. The Monster Makers come up with a new plan and Henry summons Rika and Takato who come with their parents blessing. The episode ends with Rika and Takato coming back to fight once more.
The Tamers enter the D-Reaper to fight and to rescue Jeri. At Hypnos, everybody is working on Operation Doodlebug that is supposed to revert the D-Reaper to its original harmless form using the Juggernaut program. The D-Reaper opens a wormhole connecting it to the D-Reaper in the Digital World and summons the Cable Reaper. Sakuyamon destroys some of the Agents which frees Jeri. Jeri's own determination boosted by Calumon causes her to start to fight again and the Kernel Sphere is cracked by her Digivice although Chaos Mass starts to flow in. Outside, some cops are attacked by an Agent but they're rescued by Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon and MarineAngemon who are then surrounded by police (it is never explained how they get away). Impmon, Ai and Mako escape the city on a bus, but Impmon is seriously injured and doesn't know if he'll survive. Suddenly a Dig-Nome grants Ai and Mako a Digivice which heals Impmon and officially confirms the two as his tamers. Gallantmon tries to reach the top of the Mother D-Reaper but falls. Grani then approaches him asking if he wants wings to fly. Grani sacrifices itself and enables Gallantmon to become Gallantmon Crimson Mode.
Gallantmon in his new form seems to be making some headway. Meanwhile, the others are losing. In a last attempt Sakuyamon gives all of her power to Justimon who then inserts it into his blade and cuts the Cable Reaper in two, but it proves to be in vain as it regenarates. However, the Digimon Sovereign suddenly appear and drag the Cable Reaper back to the Digital World where they apparently destroy it. The Juggernaut program is revealed to be in MegaGargomon and he activates it in the wormhole vortex. As the vortex is going at the speed of light, the Juggernaut reverses it causing a minture Big Bang and a reverse time effect in it which will devolve the D-Reaper into a harmless program and send it back to the Digital World. Gallantmon Crimson Mode comes into conflict with the Jeri Agent and he finally destroys her before arriving at the cracked Kernel Sphere. Jeri and Calumon are not there anymore as they escaped and Calumon somehow protects them with a forcefield. Unfortunately, the Red Card's effects wear off and the Megas de-digivolve, but Guilmon flings Takato to Jeri and the two are finally reunited. The Tamers try to figure a way out and are suddenly rescued by Kazu, Kenta, Guardromon, MarineAngemon and Lopmon and escape and the D-Reaper is fully sucked into the wormhole and devolves. The Tamers digimon suddenly change to their in-training forms and are forced to return to the Digital World. Before leaving, Impmon asks for Jeri's forgiveness for killing Leomon and she grants it to his surprise. Epilogue – Takato refinds the portal to the digital world at Guilmon's old hiding shed.
Digimon Fusion (Anime)
When the Old Clock Shop Man summons the heroes of the past to the Fusion universe to help take down Quartzmon, Takato and Guilmon appeared alongside Tai, and Davis to help defeat Quartzmon.
Digimon movie 5
Omnimon confronts Mephistomon (who was formed from Apocalymon's data) in a dark corner of the Digital World over Mephistomon's attempt to destroy both the Digital World and the Real World and incorporate the data in order to become truly invincible. They fight, but then Mephistomon sees a chance and slips into the Real World.
Meanwhile, Takato Matsuki is packing his things in preparation to head to the airport for his summer trip to Okinawa with Guilmon and Calumon; Henry and Terriermon come along since Henry is visiting the underwater ruins offshore. Upon arrival, Takato and Henry part ways, and Takato goes looking for his cousin Kai Urazoe in the main terminal. His search is interrupted when members of the local TV station run for an interview with Tamashiro, the be-spectacled inventor of the V-Pet, who goes into an explanation of the capabilities of the V-Pet. Takato's attention is caught when he hears the voice of his cousin Kai, who interrupts the live interview to ask the whereabouts of Takato. While Kai is being hauled away by the security, Takato runs toward the scene and meets with Kai. The policemen threaten to take them "downtown", but then Tamashiro interrupts them, and excuses them for having interrupted the interview, and explains that the two could be "potential customers". They are placed on TV, which Takato's mother notices and goes to tell her husband but they miss it.
After the incident, Takato, Guilmon (who, since being loaded onto the plane, has been in a large suitcase for concealment), Calumon and Kai ride on a boat to a smaller island where Kai and his grandfather live. When Takato and Guilmon disembark, Takato pushes the suitcase with Guilmon inside along the dirt road, but then Takato falls asleep from the hot tropical sun. Guilmon then gets out and pushes the suitcase (With Takato asleep on top of the suitcase) further down the road, at which point Kai, who had already jumped off the boat to swim to the beach, is initially frightened by the sight of the Digimon. By the time that Takato wakes up, the sun is setting, and he is resting at Kai's residence, with his grandfather playing the shamisen. Takato then notices Kai coming back from the beach, along with (to Takato's horror) Guilmon not far behind with a small pink fish he had caught; Kai apparently is already familiar with the Digimon card game, but was unknowledgeable of the existence of real Digimon until he had met Guilmon. Kai's grandfather, however, mistakes Guilmon for a large dog (to which Kai retorts), and mentions that the protector of the island is Seasarmon before seeing Calumon flying into view to ask Guilmon to come play. After Kai makes a smart remark about Calumon being a "flying dog", Grandpa then walks into the kitchen to make dinner.
Meanwhile, back in Tokyo, Rika walks in on her grandmother checking her email; Rika's mother is currently in Paris for a fashion-related engagement. Rika's grandmother is delighted by the playing V-Pet dog on the desktop computer screen. Rika, who is uninterested in the V-Pet fad, heads to her room; however, Renamon appears to inform her that a Digimon had just appeared. They arrive at a local oil plant at night, and Renamon commences to fight against the Digimon ( a Pteramon) and absorb its data. However, following the fight, Renamon then informs Rika of her suspicions of this particular Pteramon's motives for attack.
The next morning, Takato, his cousin, Guilmon and Calumon are eating barbecued fish on the beach for breakfast, and while talking, Kai mentions that he wants to become a fisherman when he comes of age, and asks if Takato wants to inherit his mom-and-pop's bakery; Takato is uncertain about that prospect, but is then surprised by a fast approaching speedboat that is being chased by a Tylomon in the water. The group goes to rescue the young girl who's riding the speedboat and confront the Tylomon that is chasing her. Following the fight, the group heads back with the girl in tow, who is obviously exhausted by the ordeal. Kai runs to pull his grandfather from fishing for the day, and Takato watches over the girl as she rests. He goes to look in her bag for her name and origin, and pulls out a plastic-wrapped laptop, only to be tripped up by Calumon and Guilmon playing. The laptop flies open, and shows the V-Pet application open.
Meanwhile, at Henry's house in Tokyo, Suzie is playing on the computer with the V-Pet, but finds it annoying because of glitches in the application which make the V-Pet give the obviously wrong answer to, say, an equation like "6 x 4". She walks to bed, and wonders why Henry is gone for the whole summer (since she misses playing with Terriermon aka "Princess Prettypants"). She then reluctantly walks back to the computer to play with it some more.
Also, Henry and Terriermon are enjoying their exploration of the undersea ruins in the Ryukyus; Henry takes as many photographs of the site as possible. They then agree to visit Takato the next day.
The girl, Minami, dreams of the time that she lost her puppy, Mei, in a storm off the coast. She was the winner of a local boogie board contest, and had boogied out to the sea to rescue her puppy, only to lose him in the waves. She wakes up, and finds that she's in a neighbor's daughter's clothes because her own clothes were soaked from the earlier confrontation. They then head to dinner, at which point she is introduced to Calumon and Guilmon. However, she begins to cry at the table all of a sudden, since she is depressed from recent issues.
In Tokyo, a computer virus is attacking the city's information-related systems, causing such things as traffic accidents and random shutdowns of personal desktop computers. Janyu is on the phone with Henry to tell him of the issue while Terriermon is in the shower, then the phone cuts off mid-conversation. Janyu then sees the V-Pet "eating" the live video feed that he is watching.
Also, Rika, who is bored from having nothing to do while her mother is gone, tells Renamon to come with her to find something to do on the town; Rika comments that mothers aren't around when one needs them, but are not as desirable when they are around. However, Renamon snickers to that remark, considering that Rika is not mentioning the exact reason for her anxiety.
While sitting on the beach, Takato asks to use Minami's laptop to play with the V-Pet, which is in a similar form as Mei, her late pet puppy. Minami then explains that the V-Pet was created by her father as a replacement following Mei's drowning; however, she was told by her father to flee with the laptop, which contains the original prototype V-Pet because of how they were being hounded by an enemy that wanted a grasp on the rights to the V-Pet. To that end, Digimon were being hired to capture Mei and the laptop.
Minami, however, sees the V-Pet as mere "data" that doesn't replace a flesh-and-blood companion, an assumption that Takato rejects because of his friendship with Guilmon, who, like all Digimon, is composed of a fusion of composited data and false proteins, but was born from Takato's imagination.
They head to the house to sleep for the night, but are awakened from sleep by the onslaught of at least two Digimon who try to capture Minami. Takato, Guilmon and Kai's grandfather resist Scorpiomon and Divermon, but Minami, who is fleeing with Kai on the beach, is captured by the smaller, but large-sized Digimon. However, the screen on the laptop, which is dropped by Minami in the capture, shines brightly as Seasarmon leaps forth from the screen to challenge the Divermon that has captured Minami. After having vanquished the Digimon, Seasarmon turns to Minami and sniffs at her feet; Minami is surprised as Seasarmon mentions her name. A Mantaraymon then leaps from the sea and captures Minami, injuring Seasarmon and Guilmon in the process; Minami disappears from view, and Seasarmon is held back by the lapping waters as he looks on in anguish.
The technical controls on the plane that is taking a number of passenger from Paris to Tokyo, including Rika's mother, are hijacked by the virus that has caused problems for Tokyo's infrastructure. The city's water system goes haywire as the V-Pet avatar "chews up" the water pressure data. It then morphs into an Imp-like creature that takes over the entire computing system. Rika and Renamon (who digivolves into Kyuubimon) battle BlueMeramon, who is erupting the water from the sewers, while Henry and Terriermon (who Digivolves into Gargomon) face Ebidramon, who's attacking a yacht on the beach. When they emerge from the confrontations victorious, the two duos are informed from the heavens by Omnimon (and, strangely enough, by Calumon, who has found his way back to Tokyo) that their help is needed, and they are teleported from view.
Takato, Guilmon, Kai follow the trail (sniffed by Seasarmon) to the island where Minami is being held. During a battle aginst Mantaraymon and a Depthmon, Guilmon digivoloves to Growlmon, then destroys Mantaraymon and Seasarmon destroys Depthmon. They enter the compound on the island, a Archelomon attacks them, but is easily finished by Growlmon. Inside there, Minami's father (Takehito), who is being held captive by the enemy Digimon, is joined by a recently captured Tameshiro (the head of the company that manufactures the V-Pet). Baronmon, the leader of the wayward group (Sepikmon, Pipismon and Ponchomon) demands the vaccine to the V-Pet, a "kill-switch" algorithm created by Takehito for the V-Pet in the case that the program malfunctions. Takehito refuses to give them the vaccine, and fights back, only to be beaten back by the leader of the hostage takers. Takato's group soon breaks into the lab, and a fight ensues between the two sides. Takato's group emerges victorious from the fight and flees the rising waters, and Minami takes a particular notice of Seasarmon, who Takato thinks came from her laptop, or more specifically, the V-Pet prototype on the laptop.
Takehito thinks this hypothesis through, and states that, in the development of the V-Pet, a set of extremely malicious code was found in every copy of the program; hence, the programmer wrote a vaccine to counter this virus and implanted the vaccine code into the V-Pet prototype, which made him a target. However, Tameshiro then come into the room and, much to the horror of the group, transforms into Mephistomon before their eyes; Seasarmon rises up to fight him, but is then severely beaten by the adversary, so much that he de-digivolves into Labramon, who much more resembles Minami's late pet puppy Mei. Mephistomon captures Labramon, while V-Pets and wayward Kokuwamon are wreaking havoc throughout the world, but Takato and Guilmon are joined by the other two duos; Mephistomon then raises up a digital world in which an entire city is submerged underwater. Growlmon drops a ship on Mephistomon, seemingly deleting him. Minami cries over Labramon and calls him Mei, activating the vaccine, taking out all evil Digimon and V-Pets, restoring control of technologies to humans, especially the plane Rika's mother is on.
Unfortunately, Mephistomon digivolves to Gulfmon and proves too powerful. Luckily, Calumon enables the Champion-level Digimon to Digivolve to Ultimate, using Trinity Burst to defeat Gulfmon. His digital world disappears, as the humans and Digimon return to the Real World in the middle of the sea, overjoyed that they've saved the world. But Takato comments he needs a vacation from his vacation.
Digimon movie 6
Six months after the D-Reaper was destroyed, the Tamers are planning to throw Rika a surprise birthday party, but Rika finds out. Suddenly a train-Digimon named Locomon begins to race around the tracks, causing havoc. The Tamers respond to this, as Takato digivolves Guilmon into Growlmon to stop the train Digimon but fails as Takato, Rika and Renamon get on it in an attempt to slow it down. The others, excluding Suzie, use a freight train to catch up with Locomon.
Yamaki takes over command of the rail centre, noticing that Locomon's path is creating a distortion in the digital field—in other words is creating a very large digital zone. He has the railroad workers manually divert the tracks at station 9 to redirect Locomon back to the Digital World.
It is then discovered that Locomon was being controlled by Parasimon. In the end Gallantmon destroys the Parasimon that was controlling Locomon but not before it sends a signal to start an invasion. Gallantmon, MegaGargomon, Sakuyamon, Justimon, Guardromon, MarineAngemon and Beelzemon Blast Mode fight the invasion but are seriously outnumbered. They finally win when Takato's determination causes Gallantmon to mode change into Gallantmon Crimson Mode, who then destroys all of the Parasimon in one shot with his Crimson Light attack. Locomon returns to the Digital World and the entire gang attends Rika's birthday party. Kenta and Kazu asks Rika to sing, since Rika sung a song for her dad in a vision while she was being controlled by Parasimon. Rika then leaves, with the movie ending with her watching the sunset, singing the last line of her song in her head: "You promise that we'd stay for the sunset".
